A veteran prosecutor with 27 years of experience, Edward Kraus joined McDonald Hopkins in 2013 after serving in the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office where he was the supervising attorney for the Cuyahoga County Mortgage Fraud Task Force. During his tenure he worked with a variety of partnership organizations including the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, FBI, HUD/OIG, Ohio Department of Commerce, and the Cuyahoga County Sheriff. Edward successfully organized and implemented one of the largest most comprehensive mortgage fraud operations in the country. He has had oversight of investigations, jury and bench trials, plea hearings, sentencing, and appellate court work.
Edward has a broad range of experience with commercial, collection and business litigation. He specializes in public corruption, securities and banking, environmental, and other business litigation issues within the corporate setting.
Edward is Vice-Mayor of the City of Solon, Ohio.
